This was my life for the last five years.
Harnesses, hardhats, steel-toed boots, tyvek suits, respirators, manlifts, power tools, hand tools, chemicals, cuts, bruises, burns, blood tests, more nights spent in hotels than in my apartment.
No more. Today is my last day as an architectural conservator. Tomorrow I start a new journey. I do not know the destination yet. I am hoping to find clarity and purpose along the way, and most of all, a place that feels like home. And this is the story of my journey.
